Delighted to announce that NHSBT has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 LGBTQ+ employers as part of Stonewall’ Workplace Equality Index. Our organisation has also received the Gold Award, Stonewall’s top rating for those employers who maintain the highest standard of LGBTQ+ inclusivity at work. Matt Clee, LGBT+ Network Deputy Chair & Stonewall Liaison Officer, said: “This is great news that we have once again made it into the Top 100 employers for LGBTQ+ inclusion and received a gold award. I want to thank everyone across the organisation that have made this possible.” We know that there is still more as an organisation that we could be doing to support our LGBTQ+ colleagues. We are looking forward to working with our LGBTQ+ Network to ensure that all our colleagues can be themselves and feel safe in the workplace. #LGBTQ+ #Stonewall #Diversity

We are excited to announce we have collaborated with Deadpool & Wolverine this summer to inspire even more people to unleash their inner hero and become blood donors. 💛 ❤️ Your blood could be the superpower someone needs. The NHS is looking for heroes to come forward, sign up and donate blood. Did you know that every day, our NHS hospitals rely on 3,700 blood donations to keep the show running smoothly? Your blood isn't just chilling in a bag; it's out there, fighting diseases, patching up boo-boos, and making surgeries a smashing success. It's basically the unsung hero of the medical world. Remember, every drop counts. So, roll up your sleeves (literally), and let’s make a difference together. Is it coming home? The home of blood donation in England certainly hopes so! 🩸🏴 Staff at our headquarters in Filton – where we process blood donations and develop new gene therapies - will be cheering on Gareth Southgate’s men in Sunday’s #Euro2024 final. From the labs to the donor centres, the canteens to the offices, we’re all one team and all behind Team England. #Proud2B #NHSBT #GiveBlood #SaveLives #NHS

Pride is an event that brings everyone together, and just being part of such an inclusive event is fantastic! At NHSBT we believe that individuals should be inspired to be themselves, and by supporting events like Pride we're making that possible. Very excited to announce that we're going to be attending #BristolPride this weekend. Come over and say hello if you spot the team! #Pride

"My son, Thomas, has been a Team Assistant and is now in the process of becoming a Donor Carer while studying robotic engineering at University. “I’ve been a Donor Carer with the Bristol mobile team for 6 years, and Thomas will be joining the Bath and Bristol team. “Working together as Donor Carers, we will be able to support each other on this journey. We also both really enjoy working with our work family for the Bristol Mobile Team. “I have previously been a bus driver, so I love driving the lorry and bus to various venues. The variety of donors we meet and their dedication to donating blood is really inspirational. ❤️ “Here's to making a difference together!” – Nadine #Proud2B #GiveBlood #SaveLives #NHS #NHSBT
