For many years, IMPACT – McLaughlin & Harvey’s employee funded charity scheme – has supported local charities who are close to the hearts of our staff. We were delighted to donate £500 to the National Society for Phenylketonuria (NSPKU) in support of Team Misneach - a team of six women from Northern Ireland who undertook a mammoth 49,057m swim from Dover to France in a fantastic 12hrs 3mins and 25 secs. McLaughlin & Harvey Site Agent Matthew McAdam shared, "I donate into the IMPACT scheme, and think it is amazing to see the donations that we are able to make. I am so pleased that we have been able to make this donation happen, especially after such an amazing achievement - not just for completing the swim, but also to Penny (my cousin) for having lived her whole life with this condition." Penny also shared what NSPKU means to her, "Without NSPKU’s advice on managing the condition, dietary guidance, and funding for research to improve treatments for PKU I would not have the quality of life I have today. Thanks to research, a drug has become available for those who suffer with PKU. They also raise awareness around the condition and provide a community in which people with PKU can meet and share their experiences." #BuildingTogetherUnlockingPotential #WeCare

For many years, IMPACT – McLaughlin & Harvey’s employee funded charity scheme – has supported local charities who are close to the hearts of our staff. While on-site at Stornoway Port Deep Water Terminal, our project team developed a relationship with the RNLI and were delighted to donate £500 to Stornoway Lifeboat Station for the upkeep of their Severn Class Lifeboat. McLaughlin & Harvey Project Manager Chris Penman requested the donation and commented, "As a charity - in their 200th year - the RNLI depend on donations so they can go on saving lives, keeping us and our loved ones safe. Last week we recognised the incredible dedication and hard work of 48 employees who mark long service milestones with the business in 2024. At McLaughlin & Harvey, we believe our greatest asset is our people. We are committed to nurturing a supportive work environment, which is evident by how long our people stay with us. 7 of the group reached 25 years of employment with the company; a remarkable accomplishment! We invited them to meet with our senior management teams to celebrate and reflect on the incredible journeys they have shared with us. At McLaughlin & Harvey, we believe that by living our core values of collaborating and committing, we can make a bigger impact on our projects for our clients, supply chain and the local communities that we’re working in. Earlier today, we conducted a 360 degree review with our supply chain working at our Etex Plasterboard and Distribution project in Bristol. Led by our Commercial Manager Martin Harvey, Operations Manager Jon Cooke and Supply Chain Relationship Manager Johnny Tarr, the in-person event provided an opportunity to review key milestones and achievements, get feedback on our performance, introduce them to our new KPI dashboard and explore future opportunities for continuous improvement. With our new office space in Bristol, we were also able to share future plans to expand in the region and share our pipeline of work. Last Friday, we hosted over 100 of our selected supply chain partners as part of our ongoing series of live interactive events. The online forum featured discussions, exchanges of best practice and an interactive Q&A segment, all designed to foster deeper collaboration. Thank you to our presenters Joe Watson MCIPS, Derek Geyer CQP MCQI, Des Quigley, John Kennedy, Martin Smith, George Watt FCIOB, David McRea, Jonathan Tarr and to our supply chain partners who attended for engaging and participating in the session. Both these events showcase the ongoing work that we are doing to strengthen our relationships with our supply chain partners. #BuildingTogetheUnlockingPotential #WeCollaborate
