Earlier this week we were thrilled to host “Success on the Shelves” at our London office in collaboration with Jamii. This networking event brought together Black business owners eager to delve into the world of retail. We had the privilege of hearing from the founders of two remarkable businesses: Flora & Curl and JAMAICA RUM VIBES who shared their inspiring journeys. One of the key takeaways was the importance of knowing your market and being able to articulate what value your product is going to add to a retailer's shelf. Adrian Boswell from Selfridges and Anne-Sophie Martin-Kukah, MCIM also joined the panel to share their insights on essential ingredients for success in the retail industry. The Black, British, in Business & Proud reports from 2021 and 2022 underscore the important role we can play in breaking down barriers to success for Black business owners, and we’re proud to do so.
