Basic Day One Rights 📝 At the moment, an employee does not gain full employment rights until after they complete two years’ service. This means that, until you have more than two years’ service you cannot bring a claim for unfair dismissal or constructive dismissal. However in their election manifesto, Labour stated that this will change and the right to bring a claim for unfair dismissal will exist from day one.
