    Zero Hours Contracts 0️⃣ In their recent election manifesto, Labour stated they'd ensure that all jobs provide a level of security and predictability.    They state they will ban “exploitative” zero hours contracts.  It's unclear whether this will be a ban on this type of contract altogether or whether it will ban them in scenarios where they are not appropriate, but this change is likely to impact many business models.     Basic Day One Rights 📝 At the moment, an employee does not gain full employment rights until after they complete two years’ service. This means that, until you have more than two years’ service you cannot bring a claim for unfair dismissal or constructive dismissal. However in their election manifesto, Labour stated that this will change and the right to bring a claim for unfair dismissal will exist from day one.
