flynas orders up to 90 Airbus neo-type aircraft. ATR have announced a letter of intent (LOI) signing between Japanese startup airline JCAS Airways, and Singapore-based lessor, Avation PLC (AVAP:LSE) for the lease of an ATR 72-600. A group of UK companies – led by telecoms developer Stratospheric Platforms Ltd (SPL) – have concluded their flight trials for 5G infrastructure in the sky aboard a Britten Norman-Islander. The tests, which were announced in November 2023, now prove that an advanced airborne 5G connectivity system has been successfully integrated into the aircraft. ZeroAvia and KLM to trial zero-emission turboprop demonstration flight for 2026. Powertrain developer, ZeroAvia and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, have announced they will work together on a demonstration flight using ZeroAvia’s ZA2000 hydrogen-electric engines for a large regional turboprop. De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited and Norwegian regional airline, Widerøe, have signed a purchase agreement for two OEM certified refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft. German turboprop manufacturer, Deutsche Aircraft, have begun construction of its first test aircraft – named TAC 1 – by starting work on the extension of the D328 fuselage. This is a significant milestone in the manufacturer’s roadmap for the D328eco, despite its delayed entry into service from 2026 to 2027.
