As we begin Q3, we wanted to recap on what we got up to over the past few months and celebrate some of our achievements from Q2 🎉🎉 ✨We took students on a sustainable journey at Cheltenham Festivals, Science Festival, to inspire them to become a water saving hero. Students had the chance to make a water saving promise with 60% promising to take shorter showers. ✨We celebrated Mental Health Awareness week with a jam packed week filled with events. The team practiced meditation and mindfulness as well as got active with a lunchtime walk. We also hosted the Tuneless Choir as well as sampling delicious and tasty healthy food. ✨Our Women At Work BRG launched free menstrual products across our on-site bathrooms. All products have been supplied by Hey Girls who encourage sustainable choices in the workplace with their plant-based products ✨We wrapped us this years Women in Engineering programme with our students celebrating the end of their mentoring with our Mira team. We hope they have learnt more about the field and strengthened their STEAM skills. ✨We marked World Safety Day with a lyric writing competition, safety bingo, a kids safety poster campaign and a range of local team activities ✨Our teams ran stands at both Housing 2024 & InstallerSHOW where we showcased our pioneering Mira Advance Heatloop™, the first electric shower that can be used with RECOUP WWHRS. At InstallerSHOW we also talked about the newly launched Mira Platinum, our innovative digital shower and Mira Form, our flexible mixer shower. ✨ Our very own Luca Stephens won the 'Hero of the Year' award at South West Contact Centre Forum. 🌈✨ It's been a week since the end of Pride Month and we've been reflecting on what an amazing month we had celebrating and recognising the LGBTQIA+ community, in honour of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. 🏳️🌈 Celebrations began with a kick off event across our Cheltenham, Worcester and Hull sites. It was a chance to hear about any Proud updates, join the Proud BRG, sign up to any Pride month events and grab a free ice-cream and merch! 🏳️🌈 In our very own Charity Bake Off we held a baking competition and pride themed bake sale. Our associates baked their hearts out, creating rainbow tiered cakes and delicious desserts. Thank you to everyone who supported and donated! 🏳️🌈 We were inspired by guest speaker Lalia El-Metou on her empowering session sharing insights on LGBTQIA+ language and inclusion. She shared practical tips on how to be a supportive ally and be part of a transformative conversation. 🏳️🌈 There was a chance to submit a question to our Proud BRG panel where they answered questions about the LGBTQIA+ community. It was a great way to educate ourselves and we heard some inspirational and powerful stories. 🏳️🌈 Finally, as Pride month is all about celebration our UK BRGs gathered together for an evening filled with good food, great drinks, and even better company. A big well done to our UK Proud BRG for organising a fantastic calendar of events this past month. You created a wide variety of ways for our associates to show their support as allies and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
