King Edward VII’s Hospital is honoured to announce that His Majesty The King is to become our Patron, continuing a tradition of royal patronage which dates to the founding of the Hospital in 1899.
Sir Richard Sykes, Chairman, King Edward VII’s Hospital said: “We are deeply honoured that The King has agreed to become our Patron, continuing a long tradition of Royal patronage by the reigning Monarch which stretches back to our founding. His Majesty’s support for the hospital’s charitable purpose of treating current and former members of the Armed Forces and their families through our Centre for Veterans' Health, alongside our work as a leading independent hospital, is tremendously valued by our team.
We are also deeply grateful to HRH The Duke of Kent, who has been President of the hospital since 1975, and who continues to actively support our work."
