Our National Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes is also home to our very own HGV Driving Academy. 🚛 Fully funded by the John Lewis Partnership, it gives those looking to progress within a driving career the opportunity to learn from the very best, experienced instructors. This week, our Peter Jones store in Chelsea is getting ready to welcome thousands more visitors from the nearby Chelsea Flower Show. 🌸 To please the crowds, the shop has got a bloom-ing wonderful floral display, complete with more than 2,500 flowers, plants and herbs. It also features a very special, brand new variety of rose by David Austin Roses, which has been named in tribute to designer Emma Bridgewater. As the only place in the world to display the rose outside of Chelsea Flower Show, we hope it will impress the crowds. We also have a jam-packed agenda at the shop this week, with something on every single day - from a live Q&A session with Emma Bridgewater herself, to treasure hunts and beauty masterclasses. 😍 It’s just one of the ways we’re using big events to attract people into our stores and create memorable experiences. Thank you to the hundreds of customers and Partners who celebrated with us at John Lewis Solihull, Leicester and White City for the Sikh festival of Vaisakhi ✨ Following last year’s highly praised events at John Lewis Leicester, the celebrations expanded to more stores for 2024, with over 1,000 people attending events across the three shops throughout April. The branches welcomed members of their local Sikh communities for musical performances and celebrations, as well as other faith leaders, including the Archbishop of Loughborough, dignitaries and senior members of the local police force.
