    From Ice Cream to Innovation, join us in celebrating National Logistics Day! 📦 This week, we’re thrilled to start the celebrations for National Logistics Day with our colleagues at the Kingsway Distribution Centres! Swipe left to see highlights from our Kingsway event, featuring DJs, ice cream vans, and an HGV driving simulator! ⬅️ Over the course of three days, more than 2,400 colleagues will be given the opportunity to enhance their skills and explore the different roles available in operations - supporting our Global objective of helping people grow. Nine departments showcased their roles and responsibilities, making this a valuable and educational event.     Walking towards wellbeing 🍃 To celebrate World Wellbeing Week, we invited our graduates to participate in a mindfulness walk, providing a refreshing escape from the working environment and an opportunity to practice self-care. 📈 The session, hosted by our Wellbeing Business Partner Phillip Montague, focused on cultivating a growth mindset and building resilience in the workplace. We spoke with People Team Graduate, Noble Babia, “The event allowed me to socialise and engage with the other grads within the business, some of whom I’ve never met before. I learnt the importance of prioritising your wellbeing at work and the different techniques I can use when facing challenges.     New faces, new ideas: Meet our 10k Interns cohort! 👋 We’re thrilled to welcome our second cohort of students and graduates from The 10,000 Interns Foundation this month. Six fresh faces have joined us for a paid internship in Finance, Marketing, Digital and Buying over the summer. Visiting our Studio last week, the interns kicked-off their journey with a full day of induction, packed with insightful sessions, team introductions and a glimpse into company culture. ✨ We spoke with Gemma Palmer, Head of Early Careers and Apprenticeships, “JD is committed to working with 10k Interns, who are dedicated to championing underrepresented talent to create opportunities that empower talented individuals to launch their careers, overcome barriers, and achieve their full potential.     Bigger. Better. Stronger. 💪 JD Gyms recently opened their Ipswich and Southampton sites, marking their 89th & 90th openings. A huge milestone!    We spoke with Alun Peacock, CEO of The JD Gyms Group: “Opening our 90th gym is a fantastic milestone for us. Both gyms are in great locations, and we are confident they will be a huge success.     Scotlands finest prepped for their journey to Germany with a stop at JD Argyle Street! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 John McGinn, Greg Taylor, and Tommy Conway picked up some kit for their family and friends, and engaged with our JD colleagues instore. Our team made sure the players had personalised names and numbers printed on their gear. ⚽️ A special touch was added with the JD x SFA custom duffle bags to carry their new kit.
