MSc Data Science, Cardiff University | Ex-Microsoft | Machine Learning and Advanced Statistical Analysis

Since working at Microsoft and graduating from a Russell Group University, I NEVER thought job hunting could get this hard. I need your help, LinkedIn 🙏 I’m Akash 👋 moved to the UK from India in 2022 to pursue a Data Science career that I could only dream of when I was a little kid. I was always taught that as long as you work extremely hard, and never give up, success will always follow. The truth is that after 1000s of rejection emails, it doesn’t always feel that way and it’s so easy to lose hope… But instead of feeling sorry for myself, I decided to make this post to prove to myself that perseverance and dedication DOES pay off 💪 Here is why I deserve a spot in the UK job market: ✅ Worked as a Cloud Engineer at Microsoft, managing Azure cloud support for major US firms, resolving complex technical issues with 99% resolution rate ✅ Completed a BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Data Science, achieving top grades across many modules including Computational Data Science and Machine Learning ✅ Led multiple extracurricular AI, data analysis and visualisation projects, where I taught myself R, Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau and more For any employers reading this - I am open to any graduate / junior roles in data analysis and will not require any visa sponsorship until 2026, after which I am happy to cover all the fees involved myself. If you are an international student who resonates with my journey, it would mean a lot if you could comment and share this post to increase reach 🙏 Lastly, thank you to Luca Poppi from International Student Coach for everything you are doing to help me and other UK international students ❤️

Account Management & Operations | Exited Founder @ Kairos | UCL Graduate

Since graduating from UCL and growing my startup to £200k in revenue, the last few months have been the most humbling of my life. Here’s my story👇 I’m Shubhangi 👋 After selling my startup back in India, I came to the UK in 2022 as I needed a change and had always dreamed of living in London While pursuing my MSc in Management at UCL, I was very optimistic about my career prospects because until this point, I had: ✅ Founded Karios, a brand distribution startup where we managed accounts of FMCG and Organic Food brands, expanding them into 800 retailers ✅ Achieved top grades at University and received Dean's List of Excellence ✅ Worked in Sales at fashion brands like Max Mara and Tommy Hilfiger, consistently exceeding my sales targets and being awarded top salesperson However, after graduation, I soon realised I had been extremely naive in thinking I’d be able to secure a UK job easily. As with many international students, what caught me off guard is that all my experiences and achievements abroad do not translate equally in the eyes of most UK employers 😔 It took me some time to accept this, but I realised that to get my foot in the UK job market, I need to be willing to re-invent myself and start from scratch Instead of giving up, I thought I’d try something new by making this post! 👉 If any employer or recruiter reads this, I’m looking for account management, operations or brand partnership roles within FMCG or luxury fashion, where I can put to use my experience in scaling sales, brand partnerships, distribution and logistics for consumer goods! If you’re an international student facing a similar challenge, it would mean the world if you could share and comment on this post to increase reach 🙏 Finally, thank you to Luca Poppi from International Student Coach for supporting me and the international student community ❤️

    MSc Management Graduate from UCL | Ex-Morgan Stanley | Ex-Consultant @ LSC

Since graduating from UCL and working at Morgan Stanley, I’d have NEVER thought job hunting could get this hard. I need your help, LinkedIn 🙏 I’m Divya 👋 raised in India and after facing many personal challenges, I moved to the UK in 2022 to pursue self-discovery and personal growth. I knew that re-starting my career here was going to be hard, but hoped that having Morgan Stanley and a global top 10 university on my CV would give me some sort of edge! The truth is that the current environment is incredibly tough and employers are very fearful of hiring internationals given the upcoming rule changes. But part of the reason I’m making this post is to encourage employers to look beyond a candidate’s visa status. You'll be SHOCKED by the level of resilience, talent and work ethic amongst many internationals.  In my case, this is what I bring to the table: ✅ Extremely high attention to detail and operational skills, having worked in the Global Operations team at Morgan Stanley, handling trade operations for equity wash transactions, where there was no room for error ✅Strong financial and startup experience, having worked closely the Founder of a PropTech startup as Founders Associate to develop financial models and due diligence materials ✅Hands-on operations experience at a circular fashion startup, where I handled the entire order processing, inventory management, and customer service processes If you’re an employer reading this - I’m open to any operations and/or finance roles, either within startups or financial services companies If you’re an international student, it would mean a lot if you could re-share and comment on this post to increase reach 🙏 Lastly, Thank you to Luca from International Student Coach for everything you are doing to help me and other international students ❤️

I help UK international students land jobs | Founder @ International Student Coach

It's not easy to land a UK job as an international student, but here's how you can still find you way in 👇 The sad truth is simply applying & hoping for the best is often not going to cut it anymore, the market is too slow and too competitive for most roles. As I look through the last 30 international students I helped get a UK job, very few landed a job the "traditional" way: 👉 Bhavya was getting no interviews, so made a viral linkedin post that resulted in several employers reaching out, including the one that hired her! 👉 Atul was also struggling to land interviews. He came across a perfect role, but applications were closed. Instead of giving up like 99% of people would, he picked up the phone and persuaded the hiring manager to give him a shot. He got the interview and soon after the job offer 👉 Anastasia got a job by relentlessly DM'ing and building relationships with employers on LinkedIn, eventually getting a job that was "off the market" 👉Taaha got a job through a referral, and in just one interview got the job My point is, none of these examples involve just submitting an application and hoping for the best. To outcompete your UK counterparts and stand out you've got to get entrepreneurial! This means getting extremely active on LinkedIn. DM employers within in your niche, asking to arrange a call to get advice (which often that leads to introductions/referrals) DM employees who are currently working at companies you're interested in Make a viral linkedin post (I'll make another post about this) Pick the phone up and shamelessly call up recruiters in your niche I'm not saying this is easy, but if you start putting yourself out there, good things will happen. And with such competition, make sure your CV is as good as it can possibly be, because at the end of the day that's the 1 thing you can't get wrong Comment "CV" and I'll send you 10 CVs that got international students UK jobs

Organisational Psychologist | Research, Consulting and HR

Since graduating with a 1st from King's College, I thought my UK career was set. But I was wrong and now I need your help, LinkedIn. Here’s my story👇 I’m Himanshi, born in India and raised by a family of entrepreneurs, who taught me that to make my way I must work hard, be disciplined, develop my skills and achieve good grades in school. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing since moving to the UK: ✅ Completed two UK degrees in Psychology with 1st Class Honours, while adapting to a new culture and working 3 part-time jobs. ✅ Gained experience in research and organisational consulting roles at top institutions like the NHS and the Association for Business Psychology. ✅ Have upskilled in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, learning tools such as SPSS, NVivo and JASP. However, since graduating, things have not gone my way. I reached the final stage in 5 of my last 7 interview rounds, but was either too qualified, not qualified enough, or visa sponsorship was too big of an issue. And now my visa is expiring and I will have to leave the UK, the country I now call home, unless I find a visa-sponsored job in the next 3 weeks 😔 That’s why I need your help, LinkedIn! If you’re an employer reading this - I’m open to any HR, research, psychometrics or consulting roles, particularly around developing and analysing employee wellbeing programs - which I am both passionate and experienced in, through my studies and as Organisational Consultant at the NHS. I promise, I am more than my visa status and I’m eager to work hard to earn my place in the UK. If you’re an international student, it would mean a lot if you could re-share and comment on this post to increase reach 🙏 Finally, thank you to Luca Poppi from International Student Coach for everything you are doing to help me and other international students ❤️
