CROSS were pleased to support The Institute of Fire Safety Managers - IFSM's Technical Meeting and Trade Event in Coventry last week, with Neil Gibbins QFSM and Peter Wilkinson speaking on the platform. Designed to ‘ignite passion’ for fire safety and management, the event was a great opportunity to discover and discuss cutting-edge solutions and innovations in the field. Our thanks for Dr Bob Docherty, President of IFSM for hosting Neil and Peter, and kindly presenting them with plaques to commemorate their contribution. 

I am thrilled to have an article in Chartered Association of Building Engineers magazine this month about my research with the The Institute of Fire Safety Managers - IFSM. My research looked at how current fire alarm systems within special needs schools can be adapted to be more inclusive for people with sensory sensitivities. It's worth a read if you design fire alarms, undertake fire risk assessments or write fire strategies within education or public buildings.
