About us
Founded in 1998, Impax is a specialist asset manager investing in the opportunities arising from the transition to a more sustainable global economy. Impax believes that capital markets will be shaped profoundly by global sustainability challenges, including climate change, pollution and essential investments in human capital, infrastructure and resource efficiency. These trends will drive growth for well-positioned companies and create risks for those unable or unwilling to adapt. Impax offers a well-rounded suite of investment solutions spanning multiple asset classes seeking strong risk-adjusted returns over the medium to long term. Impax manages funds and accounts in five areas: actively managed long-only equity, fixed income, systematic equities, multi asset, and new energy infrastructure. Impax has offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Hong Kong and Japan, and with more than $50 billion in assets under management and advice has one of the investment management sector’s largest investment teams dedicated to sustainable development. FOR PROFESSIONAL INVESTORS ONLY *As at 30 June 2023

Lisa Beauvilain, Global Head of Sustainability & Stewardship took part in the panel discussion on “Meaningful Action on Transition in Practice” at the Bloomberg Sustainable Finance Forum Tuesday, as part of London Climate Action Week. Speaking alongside Chuka Umunna, JP Morgan, Alan Haywood, BP and moderator Edo Schets, Bloomberg, Lisa highlighted the three pillars of Impax’s climate transition strategy: 🌩️1. Pricing climate risks accurately: adjusting portfolios to manage transition and physical climate risks and increase resilience. 🌳2. Investing in the enablers of the transition, including climate solutions, a growth area of the economy. 💼3. Engaging with companies and advocating with policy makers for real-economy transition, increasingly in tandem; as “systematic stewardship”. #LCAW2024

In celebration of Pride month, we recently hosted a fireside chat with Julie Gorte, Senior Vice President, Sustainable Investing for Impax colleagues on the importance of inclusivity. Despite tremendous gains in perception and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community over the past 40+ years, there is still more work to be done to help shine a light on the impact that a queer-friendly culture can have on both company culture and business performance. Stimulating discussions at the #TimesCEOSummit in London Bridge this morning. Focus on reforms to pensions regulation to unlock equity capital for domestic companies, planning reform that doesn't ride roughshod over communities, and building the skills base to support the transition to a higher growth, low-carbon economy while cajoling and supporting many of the (several million) adults, who currently could but don't work, back to the workforce.
