Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the Valve Doctor™ program has developed the talents and know-how of some of our top technical experts. who solve complex engineering challenges, help customers optimise their processes, and protect some of the largest investments found in the industrial sector. We talked to some of our current Valve Doctor™ experts and asked them to share their experiences of the program, and why their role is so important. #IMI #Engineering #EngineeringCareers Get more breakthrough engineering insights in your inbox here: https://lnkd.in/eh6dAuHG

Congratulations to our engineers on the completion of this project. If you would like to learn more about IMI's desuperheating solutions, you can find out more on our website: https://lnkd.in/eYfrBKPb #IMI #Engineering
Intermediate stage desuperheaters play a big role in plant efficiency and time reduction of startup ramps . IMI Process Automation has recently replaced a probe style desuperheater from a competitor, which was causing big problems of temperature uncontrollability at HRSG outlet and maintenance issues, due to diffused crack and water on piping. IMI has installed desuperheater systemat site and has provided site assistance to setup PID parameters in DCS. DAM Water ring stile injection vs. probe type offer finer control of temperatures (down to the cent of celsius degree, as water is not wasted on pipeline walls, but completely evaporated). Another great UPGRADE by IMI.

“Immediate steps must be taken if the transport and logistics sector is to reduce emissions and meet its decarbonisation objectives. However, the rollout of large-scale national hydrogen storage and production infrastructure will take years...The success of hydrogen as a greener fuel source will ultimately hinge on its availability at the point of use, so the approval of the Hydrogen Acceleration Act is a welcome step in the right direction." As our industry develops and processes become more efficient, it can cause other issues, as original parts are required to operate beyond their expected capacity or lifespan. A major oil & gas producer in Norway was suffering from clogged valves on an offshore platform, after upgrades had extended the life of the field, requiring opening and manual cleaning every few months. See how we worked with them to implement our self cleaning valve solution over on our website: https://lnkd.in/e6uKC7Ch Get more breakthrough engineering insights in your inbox here: https://lnkd.in/eh6dAuHG #IMI #OilAndGas #Engineering

An LNG manufacturing facility based near the coast, in Point Fortin, Trinidad operates four liquefaction trains. With a total capacity of approximately 115 million tonnes of LNG per year it is among the largest facilities of its kind in the world. In 2022, the site team approached IMI to address the criticality of its feed gas flow control valves. The feed gas line was already sized at 24 inches, while the flow control valve on the datasheet, specified as a linear motion globe valve, should have been 36 inches to accommodate valve flow coefficient (Cv) requirements. See how we used DRAG™ technology and our dBX Shield solution to help address these issues in our latest case study: https://lnkd.in/eyzEWkj8 Get more breakthrough engineering insights in your inbox here: https://lnkd.in/eh6dAuHG #IMI #ControlValves #LNGIndustry
