Thank you Institute of Government & Public Policy for a great day discussing the workplace wellbeing best practices with likeminded leaders and wellbeing advocates at their annual Wellbeing at Work conference. I took away so many fantastic takeaways, I’ll share them over the next few weeks on my Alchemy Consulting Group Limited account so if you’re interested in workplace wellbeing best practice please follow me there. One of the highlights was hearing from Dana Citron, MPH on her great work as Director of Health and Global wellbeing for DHL. Dana shared her tried and tested structure for creating Maximum and Measurable Impact from your corporate Wellbeing programme.  Here were my key takeaways from Dana's talk: The 4 Key elements in an effective wellbeing programme: 1. Building a supportive organisational culture 2. Creating behavioural change 3. Prevention & screening programmes 4. Disease & condition management Necessary supporting factors: - A clear programme description - An effective and comprehensive communication strategy - A participation & motivation strategy, including a diverse range of initiatives. - Defined and tracked KPIs At DHL they fund their own staff healthcare so can directly measure the private medical costs driven by staff demand. Through their wellbeing interventions they have reduced their staff healthcare costs by 20% since 2018, just one of the ways they have been able to track significant benefits of their wellbeing programme. #IGPPHWB #wellbeingatwork #wellbeingstrategy
