You loved our last comparison of shots of our Oakfield development in Swindon, so here are a few more from another angle. Side by side, the pictures show how we've gone above and beyond the original designs, adding extra sustainability features such as solar panels to each home. From this angle, you get a brilliant view of the private gardens - a rare find in the city. Plus, you can see the beginnings of the residential garden landscaping, purposefully built at the heart of the properties to encourage neighbourly conversations. Check out some of the latest progress pictures taken by Doig+Smith as they continue the work at Maltings Wynd, the second phase of development at our Dundashill development. From the pictures, you get a sense of how the properties will gather around the communal garden, offering a place for residents to come together and relax with nature. The development will include 78 contemporary three and four bedroom townhouses, offering sustainable living along Glasgow's canal. We are delighted to be supporting Pinkston Watersports' Gala Day on Saturday 3rd August 🌊🛶🦆 Around the corner from our Dundashill development in Glasgow, Pinkston Watersports Centre offers a clean and safe environment along the canal for families to enjoy a variety of activities. Celebrating their 10-year anniversary, the event will offer water sports, a climbing wall, bungee trampolines, arts and crafts, and a duck race – and the best part is that it’s all free to the community! It’s set to be a brilliant day out for all the family and we’re proud to be involved!

Today's Mid-week Magnify 🔍 is looking at Winchester - one of our upcoming schemes as Genr8 Kajima Regeneration. Winchester City Council's Central Winchester Regeneration Project is set to be an exciting new chapter for England's historic capital city. Creating much-needed homes, restoring waterways, and building an attractive new neighbourhood are all in the plans. In partnership with PfP igloo (igloo Regeneration & Thriving Investments) as Partnerships & Places trading as the Jigsaw Consortium, we look forward to delivering this great project. Last week Sam Veal joined ‘The case for design codes’ webinar organised by Office for Place. Chaired by Nicholas Boys Smith, the event explored the benefits of design codes for both local authorities and developers to further encourage their use across new developments. Joined by Mary Parsons of Lovell Partnerships Ltd, Sam spoke about how the clear standards set out within design codes help the speed of planning decisions while managing design expectations to strengthen public-private relationships. #DesignCodes #Developments #Regeneration #planning

A hidden gem in Newcastle's landscape, Ouseburn Valley has undergone a drastic transformation over the last twenty years, creating an area that now offers a bustling music scene and home for creative businesses. As part of this, in partnership with Homes England and Newcastle City Council, we are committed to creating 300-350 homes in the area. It's great to see the community that's come to life following the completion of The Malings and Lower Steenberg's Yard. Purposeful design features including low walls and planters to encourage conversation between neighbours, and shared micro-allotments immediately reinstated a warm, friendly community feel to the residential area. There's even a Community Fund, which residents and businesses pay into, creating a cycle of investment that they can manage and allocate to community projects as they wish. We're really proud of this development and we're looking forward to continuing to invest in the area. Find out more about the next phase: https://hubs.ly/Q02GV-q70

Check out the comparison of the Trent Works CGI and a real-life picture taken from the actual development👀 We set out to create a mix of modern houses and apartments, drawing on the Victorian heritage of the area to inspire our design principles. The result? A neighbourhood that's revitalised the neighbourhood's culture and history, coupled with energy-efficient features to offer a sustainable way of living. Newcastle’s innovators were back in their rightful home for North East Times' Startup to Success event at Pattern Shop Newcastle last month. Gathered in the place where the steam locomotive was invented, the North East’s new generation of founders spoke about their business journies while showcasing their innovations. It was great to be able to support the event alongside Harbour House, Greggs & NorthumberlandCoffee.
