We’re excited to officially welcome residents at Dorothy Terry House in #Worcestershire to Housing 21! 🎉   Today we completed the acquisition of 42 Extra Care properties from Rooftop Housing Association just in time for #residents to join us in a summer of celebrations to honour our 60th anniversary. 🏗️ We're excited to share that work is officially well under way at our flagship #cohousing site in #Birmingham! 👍 Once complete, Rupali Court will provide 25 apartments for older people living in the local #Lozells area who have been working with us to help name and shape the design of the scheme. Rupali, which means ‘silver’ in Bengali and ‘most beautiful’ in Hindi, reflects the positive connotations that silver has for older people in the local community. In addition to a large communal lounge and kitchen enabling #residents to cook and socialise together there are also plans for a landscaped garden and an allotment for residents to grow their own produce and support the wider community’s passion for #sustainable living. ♻️ 🙌 A huge thanks to our partners Deeley Group and Legacy WM who are working with us on delivering this amazing project! #Construction #UKhousing #OlderPeople

Our #ExtraCare development in #Faringdon has officially been named! 🙌 The Regional Extra Care Team involved a local primary school and held a naming where the pupils submitted their entries. The entries were shortlisted to six finalists and the pupils were invited to visit the site where the scheme will be built. 🌟We are pleased to announce that the winning name is Fern Meadows, which is the Saxon name for Faringdon. 🏗️ The scheme is being built in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council and DEELEY GROUP LIMITED. Homes England are providing grant funding for the development which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.
