🤩 Join us for a day dedicated to community investment! Last year The Centre for Excellence in Community Investment Conference was back and in person, we had a great day hearing and discussing all things community investment - so we've decided to head back to Birmingham and get those ideas flowing again! As the sector faces significant challenges, risks and opportunities, being able to navigate these alongside regulatory changes, legal obligations and ethical standards is essential for effective decision-making. This year's conference is focusing on linking together principal and practice, and focusing on place and partnerships which is key to keep pushing the envelope with community investment projects and initiatives. Last week we shared HACT's evaluation of the Scottish TECH programme, using technology to improve efficiency and experience for residents. To help take advantage of the benefits of tech-led care, Scottish Care has piloted a new Care Technologist role. You can now read more about this role and our evaluation of the pilot stage. There are significant benefits for service users and care systems to embed technology in patients' experiences, this is a great example of Scottish Care doing this whilst retaining the personal connection that is so important in health care.

Introducing our next expansion of our social value measurement - the Built Environment Bank (BEB). Housed in our #SocialValueInsight tool, the BEB incorporates a suite of value outcomes which are tailored to specifically measure the impact of construction, development and supply chain activities on the people and communities whose lives they are transforming. From tender to procurement, delivery to ongoing community transformation - the values can be incorporated across the whole process. Grouped into 7 areas, the values use the wellbeing measurement which is endorsed by the Government through the HM Treasury Green Book. They have been developed in collaboration with Simetrica-Jacobs and Morgan Sindall Group plc and have also be informed by a working group made up of people and professionals who operate in this space. We're really excited about the opportunities for organisations in driving more impact through their social value measurement and help leave a lasting legacy through their work.
