The annual Greenfingers Charity Fundraising Dinner is set to return later this year on Thursday 28th November, with even more opportunities for supporters of the children’s hospice garden charity to enjoy networking and at the same time digging deep to boost the annual fundraising total before the year wraps up. A popular event on the Greenfingers Charity’s calendar, the fundraising dinner has seen its numbers expand year-on-year, with the 2023 dinner welcoming over 130 guests and a fundraising total exceeding £35,000. This year, on the cusp of the charity’s 25th anniversary in 2025, the team is hoping to see these numbers increase even more. Taking place at the stunning Grade-II listed Pendley Manor in Tring, Hertfordshire, the dinner will once again bring together Greenfingers supporters for a spectacular night of celebrations. A key highlight of the evening will – as always - be an auction, filled with incredibly generous donations from some of the charity’s most valued supporters, plus a drinks reception, this year generously sponsored by Vitax. Tickets for this year’s event on sale now, with tables of ten and individual tickets available. Due to previous demand, tickets are expected to sell out quickly so interested parties are encouraged to register their interest now to avoid missing out. #charity #fundraising #togethermakingadifference

At the beginning of the year Kate Ebbens, one of our fantastic Ambassadors, embarked on a year long challenge, to run 5km every day and raise £10.5k to support our work. As we, celebrate Kate reaching day 100, we couldn’t help but shout about the fact she’s covered a huge 450km and has already smashed her fundraising target! Last month was a real challenge for Kate, she really had to dig deep to find the resolve to put on her trainers and step out of the front door, wherever she happened to be working across the UK! Despite having COVID and the weather not being on her side, her passion and determination to support our work didn’t stop her from doing what she set out to. Wishing our fabulous friend at Leon Boots, Kev Burgess, the very best of luck as he takes on the London Landmarks Half Marathon today...in his ultra lightweight, ultra comfortable wellies! This year, as Kevin turns 55 he will be 40 years cancer-free. Plus he celebrates the addition of his beautiful granddaughter Elora. Being told at 20 that he may never have children he was blessed with his son (Charlie) and his daughter (Imogen with grandpup Smudge). His wife Kendra who 35 years ago sat with him when he was given that news has always offered her unwavering support, including at this year's Garden Re-Leaf Day when they both walked, blister free, 10 miles in their Leon Boots!
