At the last Foundervine event, I told myself I'd pitch at the next one and so on Thursday I attended the @foundervine × Wray Forward Pitch Night and pitched my brand - in front of judges Ash Phillips Sarah Faber Elizabeth Soar and Peter Monteza and an audience of around 60 people. Having never pitched live before, I'll tell you the nerves were climbing out my throat but guess what? I came home with the People's Choice Award! I am so pleased! Thank you to the audience for listening, voting, and understanding my vision. This grant is a great first step on our fundraising journey and so brilliant ahead of ColorBlend Makeup's relaunch. We’re stateside! 🇺🇸 I was so honoured to be invited to Traffic Sales and Profit Live 2024 in Atlanta, GA, to speak to a room full of successful US entrepreneurs about breaking into the European market To be completely upfront, this was both exhilarating and slightly daunting. Speaking to US business leaders about UK and European opportunities isn’t something I’ve done as much (mostly the other way around), but what a critical conversation! The UK offers fantastic investment potential, and as a business owner, embracing international expansion is crucial – the rewards far outweigh the risks. For US founders, our size, global outlook, shared values, talent pool, and business culture make the UK a great bet. I shared the stage with fellow panellists who showcased the incredible diversity of Britain. Our heritage spanned Ghana, Nigeria, and the Caribbean. Through our history and people, we are a doorway to the rest of the world 🌍 Thank you Lamar Tyler, Ronnie Tyler and the TSP team. And huge thanks to my fellow panelists for being some of the finest entrepreneurial talent the UK has to offer: Jamelia Donaldson Demi Ariyo Dr. Raphael Sofoluke 🚀 Now, to my UK founders: have you considered growing in the US market?
