Fast qualifying but no race reward for ERT at difficult Portland E-Prix The ERT Formula E Team had a tough penultimate round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season, with duel-fighting pace on Saturday the highlight of the weekend, with the Portland International Raceway not suiting the team’s X24 Gen3 challenger. The team came out of the blocks fast, with Sérgio Sette Câmara in the top ten in the first practice session with the eighth fastest time, while the team found even more pace come Saturday morning, with team-mate Dan Ticktum sixth quickest in the second session ahead of qualifying. 👀 ICYMI: Tough home race for the ERT Formula E Team in Shanghai The ERT Formula E Team was back at home in China for the first time in five years in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, but despite some great speed in qualifying, two energy-saving heavy races wielded a pair on non-points finish results for the team’s drivers Dan Ticktum and Sérgio Sette Câmara. The team’s ERT X24 cars carried a special home livery with “Hello Shanghai” on its sidepods and “We are home” on its halo, with Chinese flag-inspired bright red wing endplates standing out on the team’s electric black and yellow livery. Marta García makes her Formula E debut with ERT at the Berlin Rookie Test Marta García made her much anticipated ABB FIA Formula E World Championship testing debut on Monday with the ERT Formula E Team at the Rookie Test at the Berlin Tempelhof Airport circuit, showing impressive pace as she adapted to the team's ERT X24 Formula E challenger. The 2023 F1 Academy champion was joined by fellow Spaniard Mikel Azcona, the 2022 WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup champion, who returned for his third test with the team. Both drivers were supported onsite by the team's full-time driver Sérgio Sette Câmara throughout the day. García joined the team on Sunday night, arriving straight from a race in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) at Hockenheim. ‼️Mixed fortunes at chaotic Berlin E-Prix The ERT Formula E Team had a strong start to the weekend for Rounds 9 and 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with Sérgio Sette Câmara qualifying his and the team’s equal-best fourth on Saturday, and showed top five race pace before running into trouble later on in a contact-heavy race, before Sette Câmara and Dan Ticktum had a less eventful run in Sunday’s race.   The weekend looked positive from the start, with Sette Câmara setting the second fastest time in the first practice session on Friday evening, just over a tenth of a second off the leading time.   Sette Câmara then followed this up with a sensational performance in qualifying, getting through to the duels with the fourth-best time in his group, before going on to win his quarter-final heat against former champion Lucas Di Grassi and making it through to the semi-finals, eventually qualifying in fourth position.   Ticktum was unlucky not to progress to the duels in an ultra-competitive group, finishing seventh just 15-hundredths of a second from making the cut, and lining up to start the race in a credible 12th. The ERT Formula E Team had a frustrating Monaco E-Prix, with Dan Ticktum recovering from a low grid position to finish up 13th, while team-mate Sérgio Sette Câmara recovered from an early pit stop to finish 18th. The all-in-one-day event started well for Ticktum, with the British driver finishing sixth in the final free practice session just before qualifying. Practice didn’t go as well for Sette Câmara, who was unable to set any competitive times after experiencing a front powertrain issue in FP1, before a rear driveshaft failure hampered him in the second session as well. Despite the troubles in practice, Sette Câmara bounced back incredibly well in qualifying, setting the sixth fastest time in his group just over a tenth away from getting into the duels, leaving him to line up 11th on the grid. Team-mate Ticktum’s qualifying didn’t go as well, as after setting strong first and second sectors a mistake towards the end of the lap cost him dearly leaving the Brit tenth in his group, which converted to 20th for the final grid for the E-Prix. The team regrouped well to show better pace in the race, especially in the early stages for Sette Câmara, who’d made it up to eighth place by the third lap, well inside the points-paying positions.
