🚛 Driving change 🚛 We are delighted to announce that our fleet of 13 HGVs is fully adapted to the DVS Phase 2 standards and registered with Transport for London (TfL) well ahead of the October 2024 deadline! 🎉 Thanks to our collaboration with Fleet Sense Ltd. we have implemented a comprehensive Progressive Safe System from Durite Limited ensuring our compliance with the latest safety regulations set by TfL. This significant upgrade means our vehicles are now equipped with cutting-edge safety features designed to protect vulnerable road users and enhance road safety. As such, all of our HGVs are equipped with: 🔹 Advanced sensors: Detects pedestrians and cyclists in blind spots, providing crucial alerts to our drivers. 🔹 Camera monitoring systems: Enhances visibility, covering blind spots and supplementing direct vision. 🔹 Audible warnings: Alerts nearby pedestrians and cyclists when the vehicle is turning. The Direct Vision Standard aims to reduce accidents by improving road safety. By incorporating these advanced safety measures, we are not only compliant but also leading the way in making our roads safer for everyone. Transport for London has confirmed that the DVS Grace Period will run until 4th May 2025, but you will need to act now. The grace is not given automatically. Fleets need to get ready now and book their PSS installation before they can apply for the extension. The deadline to apply for the grace period is 28th October 2024. Given the installation lead-in times already sit at 4-6 weeks, fleets need to beat the rush or risk not being compliant. To apply for the Grace Period you will need: ✅ Your Vehicle Registration Mark (number plate) and; ✅ Proof that you have arranged to have the Progressive Safe System (PSS) fitted to your vehicle between 28th October 2024 and 4th May 2025. You can go to TfL's website to apply for the grace period for the required vehicles. Get ready for DVS Phase 2 with Durite!
