I am delighted to share that we feature in B Lab UK’s new training course ‘Beyond the Basics: A Deep Dive into the B Corp Movement’. Earlier this year Diversifying Group & Diversifying Jobs were invited to film at our offices to talk about our experiences of becoming a BCORP company and to share any insights we had that could support others looking to certify for the first time or to re-certify. We are just over 1 year into our BCORP journey and can highly recommend it. Big thanks to James Kelly [pictured] for being such a thoughtful interviewer and support during the accreditation process, Hana Kidy for project managing us so brilliantly and Kyle Soo, Maisie Tildesley and Ségolène Montigny for the encouragement on the day. This course is for you if: You are leading the B Corp journey in your business, either to certify for the first time or looking to recertify as a B Corp You are a sustainability professional offering B Corp consultancy support to clients in your network. This online course offers over 6 hours of flexible and self-paced learning guided by B Lab UK experts, containing in-depth knowledge on how to navigate the B Impact Assessment and Impact Business Models across 9 chapters. The course also features stories and tips from three great B Corps [including ours] and two consultants from our community as well as downloadable resources to support you through your B Corp journey. What does a Labour government mean for diversity and inclusion...? Well so far - 👏 First female Chancellor 👏 First Housing Minister to have lived in social housing 👏 First Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary of Colour 👏 Most female cabinet members in history 👏 Most state educated cabinet in history And they seem to be appointing people with progressive outlooks, such as James Timpson as Prisons Minister. This all seems like a reason to be optimistic that this government will have a positive impact and help push forward diversity, equity and inclusion. Right...? But not everything seems as positive, with Health Secretary Wes Streeting supporting the permanent ban of puberty blockers for trans youth. For many out there, it seems like a continuation of the Conservative government-backed attacks on the trans community, and trans youth in particular.
