    Today, our CEO, Adam Winslow hosted Direct Line Group’s Capital Markets Day, sharing the Group’s strategic vision. Adam commented, “Today, we have set out our strategy and objective to position DLG as the customers’ insurer of choice.   “Since joining DLG just over four months ago I have rigorously reviewed our business, and listened carefully to investors, customers, and employees. This work has deepened my belief in our strong foundations and excellent potential.   “Putting our strongest brand, Direct Line, on price comparison websites, where 90% of consumers shop, means we will be shaking up the motor insurance market once again.   “However, DLG is about more than just Motor, and we have ambitious plans to grow in Home, Rescue and Commercial Direct.   “Our refreshed strategy will be delivered by our new executive team, who have significant expertise in our core markets.   “The strategy and targets set out today signal our ambition and intention to grow our business and deliver strong returns for our shareholders.”   To learn more about our plans, please watch an interview with BBC broadcaster, Justin Webb speaking to Adam Winslow:  https://lnkd.in/grkuMgaQ Read more about our strategy: https://lnkd.in/gTagT2qT

    “The main piece of advice I’d give to someone joining DLG is to say yes to as many things as you can, even if it feels a bit scary. It could take you where you want to go”. Wise words from our designer, Mark Witherspoon, who joined DLG over 20 years ago. Over the decades, Mark has worked on brands like Churchill, Direct Line, and Green Flag. He says this variety has kept him at DLG … “I’ve always been a visual designer but moved around as the business has grown and changed. In the last few years, I’ve become more involved with video and photography, which has sent me all over the country.   I’ve also worked on some designs for our head office in London, creating ways to showcase our brands and focus on our people and our customers. This was something I’d never done before, and I was very pleased with the outcome. It’s this kind of thing that makes working at DLG so exciting – even after over 20 years, I’m still learning new skills every day”.  #CareerGrowth #CompanyCulture #WeareDLG

    Here at DLG, our mission is to be brilliant for customers every day. One way we achieve this is through our DLG Auto Service centres. We have 23 of them dotted around the country, helping us get customers back on the road as quickly as possible. As Customer Service Advisor, Emily Hudson, explains: “Being brilliant for our customers means making sure that their experience with us is easy, stress-free, and smooth from start to finish. Arranging to have your vehicle repaired following a road traffic accident can be stressful. Our role is to alleviate as much stress as we can and to make sure that our customers have faith in our ability to get their vehicle back to looking brand new.” #CustomerExperience #CustomerSatisfaction #CustomerCare

    Meet Craig. He was voted Mentor of the Year after he volunteered to take part in the Envision Mentoring programme with DLG. Craig Hamill (FLPI, MCIPD)explains, “Envision is a structured volunteering programme where teams of young people are partnered with mentors who support them in designing, developing, and delivering an in-school youth social action project that will make positive change.     At DLG, we’re committed to getting closer to our customers, even when that involves stepping out of our comfort zones! HR Delivery Lead Jo Smith recently spent some time with our Home Claims team, listening to real calls, meeting customers, and even helping to assess the damage to this door! Jo said, “Working in HR, it can be easy to feel removed from our customers – so this has been an eye-opening experience for me. It’s also reminded me that much of the activity we carry out in HR is much closer to the customer than you’d think.
