The series, under the heading EX.CEL: Experiential Retail Workshop, will analyse the impact of experiential retail on consumer engagement across the global duty free and travel retail. How can we optimise the opportunity for cruise retail inside ports? This week, we're revisiting the significant opportunities highlighted by Andres Villalever during his presentation at #DFNICruise24. Watch the presentation in full here 👉 https://bit.ly/3Y8FiCO Let's recap some key points: ⇨ A comprehensive experience at a port is highly important, namely combining retail with engaging activities such as F&B, maximising revenue and benefitting organisations both ship and shoreside. ⇨ Andres suggested future port experiences will not only include retail opportunities, but also a focus on dining options to encourage the spend of time and money inside the port. ⇨ The industry is poised to commit strongly to sustainability, with the main focus being to reduce reliance on single-use plastics and explore alternate power sources. ⇨ Destination was covered throughout the conference as well as this presentation.
