It was great attending the 75th anniversary of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture conference in Portland, Oregon this past week. Thought leaders from across the world contributed to the advancement of the wine industry that complimented the mission of the ASEV: Advancing Knowledge, Inspiring Solutions. The conference featured insightful contributions from a variety of researchers, professors and students with topics that ranged from vineyard diseases and mitigation techniques for heat events to the impact of global warming on longterm varietal viability in a spectrum of climate scenarios. The vineyard tour of the great Williamette Valley was highlighted by stops at Raptor Ridge, A to Z, Rex Hill and Ponzi Vineyards where we received insight to how this region makes some of the best Pinot Noir and Riesling in the world in a thoughtful and environmentally responsible manner. It was wonderful to see some of our clients, research and project partners at this compelling conference.

Big News! We're excited to announce that Deep Planet VineSignal Now Offers Advanced TA and pH grape Monitoring maps! This gives growers and winemaking teams an unprecedented level of insight into their maturity at both the vineyard block/plot/parcel level and produces heat maps identifying areas of the vineyard with higher and lower levels of pH and TA on a weekly basis from the time of veraison. Reach out if you're like to monitor pH and TA (along with our Brix maps and harvest date features) in your vineyards for the current season. Thanks for the hard work team in developing this great feature for the industry. #winetech #agtech #spacetech #satellite #brix #TA #pH

Last week, our CEO David Carter had the amazing opportunity to attend the U.S. Sustainable Winegrowing Summit in Lodi, California. For anyone passionate about eco-friendly viticulture and delicious wine, this summit was an absolute must! The California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, along with co-hosts from other major wine regions, brought together a fantastic group of industry leaders, researchers, and sustainability enthusiasts. The energy was electric as we exchanged ideas and learned about cutting-edge practices that are minimizing environmental impact, implementing regenerative agriculture and fostering a more sustainable future for wine. Here are some of the highlights for us: - Inspiring Talks: I was particularly impressed by the presentations on regenerative agriculture techniques and water conservation in vineyards. Learning how wineries are adapting to our changing climate and finding innovative ways to reduce their footprint. - Connecting with Experts: The summit provided a great platform to connect with fellow sustainable wine industry lovers and advocates. There were opportunities to chat with winemakers, vineyard managers, and other passionate folks who are all working towards a common goal. - Focus on Consumer Education: One of the key takeaways was the importance of educating consumers about sustainable winegrowing practices. The summit offered great insights on how wineries can effectively communicate their sustainability efforts. Overall, the U.S. Sustainable Winegrowing Summit left us feeling optimistic about the future of wine. It's clear that the industry is moving in a positive direction, embracing practices that are good for the environment, good for the grapes, and ultimately, good for the quality of the wine we enjoy. If you're interested in learning more about sustainable winegrowing, I highly recommend checking out the US Sustainable Winegrowing website https://lnkd.in/dtH59Rf. #sustainablewine #lodiwine #USSWSS #winesummit #gogreen
