Our success is built on our people serving the best interests of our members, helping them to identify the products and services that are right for them in the most simple and straightforward way possible, so it'll come as no surprise that our people are right at the heart of our organisation. Whether you want a customer facing role in one of our branches or contact centres, are passionate about driving technology change and innovation in IT or have the desire to shape the products we offer to our members – you’ll fit in somewhere in our Society. Here you will find out more information about all of the areas of our organisation that contribute to our success. These teams work together every day to bring to life our mission of putting members first. Different people bring different ideas, skills and perspectives. And we’re better equipped to put members first if we have a diverse workforce of talented people, representative of the communities we live and work in. Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion programme is called ‘Together’ We encourage everyone to get involved in a way that suits them, whether it’s through our ‘working families’ network, raising awareness during our focus weeks such as LGBT or mental health, or simply talking to their team about flexible working. We want everyone who works at the Coventry to feel engaged, valued and respected. We’re proud of our commitment to diversity and we know it’s important be upfront and share our ED&I strategy to ensure it translates fully into our everyday lives and really makes a difference.

We’ve been officially named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women 🎉 ♀️! Earlier this year we asked our colleagues about their experiences as women in the workplace. We have been ranked 12th in the Super-Large Organisations category, up 3 places from last year! ⬆️ Here are just some of the things that make the Society a Great Place to Work for women: • We re-established our Diversity and Inclusion Council and Thinktank, to help lead and shape a fairer workplace. • Earlier this year we established our Women’s colleague network • We offer Menopause and Fertility services through Peppy an app which offers personalised support and connects to expert practitioners. • Our 2023 Great Place to Work survey showed us that women in the business are very engaged (83% Trust Index score for women) View the full list 👉 www.greatplacetowork.co.uk

We tried to think of a litter picking pun for this caption but they were all rubbish! 🌍 Today our marketing and design teams spent a couple hours out of their morning to clean up the local area. It's amazing how much impact a few hours can make on our environment, let's all do our part in keeping our planet clean. #AllTogetherBetter

This #PlasticFreeJuly we’re running events with colleagues to raise awareness of the effect plastic can have on our environment. This week’s activities included a plastic-free picnic and workshops with eco-friendly artist Sarah Turner, who helped colleagues transform empty plastic bottles into flower decorations helping us understand more about reducing plastic usage and reusing where possible. #AllTogetherBetter

This week our Employability Skills celebration event took place at the Coventry Building Society Arena . We met young people from our three local partner schools to reflect on their hard work and development over the past six months. 💙 Our award-winning Employability Skills programme is designed to equip young people with the confidence and life skills to succeed in the workplace and raise aspirations. It offers an opportunity for Year 12 students to gain transferable employability skills that are relevant to all career paths and aspirations, whether they want to go to university, seek an apprenticeship, or enter the world of work directly away from further education. 🎓 Foxford School (Castle Phoenix Trust) Sidney Stringer MAT Grace Academy Coventry Belinda Brown
