Last Saturday we were proud to launch the revised version of our Digital Literacy 'Day-to-Day Digital Skills' course! https://lnkd.in/drUvEjVU A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible volunteers who made this session such a success: Victor Onyenagubom, Aya Osaki and Ricardo Mateos. Special thanks to our Cohort Leader volunteer in London- Daniela Sozzi, who drove and managed the curriculum review with outstanding commitment and vision. This launch also marks a special moment as it's the first cohort we've hosted at our new offices in Holborn. The enthusiasm of everyone involved has been inspiring. We are excited for many more successful cohorts and to continue to make a positive impact together! Interested in making a difference? We're always looking for passionate volunteers to join our team. Get in touch to learn how you can contribute!

Vitalina's goals were clear when she came to the UK: improve her English, learn technical skills, make friends - and find a tech job. She needed more structured learning and support. She found this with the CodeYourFuture community. Read Vitalina's journey - how she overcame her language barriers and juggled full-time work to transform her career and land a developer role at Clear Channel UK. https://lnkd.in/e7_AudzM "The most valuable thing is support and feedback," Vitalina says. "Because when you're learning by yourself, you don't know how good you are or if you're going in the right direction or wrong." We hope you enjoy the read. Congratulations, Vitalina, on all your hard work; we are sure there is more success ahead of you!

Saturday was a fantastic day. Working closely with our Software Engineers (trainees or not) was a great opportunity to see them using their confidence, communication and problem-solving skills. Thank you for participating in the Employability and Coding Challenge workshops.
CodeYourFuture Hosts their Annual Summit! Last Saturday, CodeYourFuture brought together 80 members from our Scotland, Manchester, London, and West Midlands communities for our annual summit. This year's event was especially exciting as it welcomed some of our remote volunteers for the first time! The summit was a day of collaboration and action. We discussed our program's future and brainstormed ideas for shaping our next cohorts. In addition, our trainees and recent graduates put their skills to the test with pair coding challenges. A huge thank you to SEESAW, our fantastic Manchester venue, for opening their doors on a Saturday to our global CodeYourFuture family! We also extend our gratitude to Caribbean Kitchen MCR for their amazing food! Check them out: https://lnkd.in/gWngjM4S

An excellent summary from Afsha about Sarika's recent visit to CodeYourFuture. Thanks for sharing, Afsha - it was a delightful and insightful day indeed.

Sarika Naik, our Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer at Capgemini joined us in London at CodeYourFuture all the way from India last Saturday! I had the honour of interviewing Sarika. This was my first time hosting an informal interview in front of an intimate group of audience. Sarika’s spontaneous sense of humour and stories of some key moments in her journey made this session very insightful, fun and inspiring. Sarika shared with us how diversity and inclusion have evolved over the decades. She spoke about how we can individually and collectively contribute to a sustainable, diverse and inclusive society. She also emphasised the importance of taking ownership of our choices and making the most out of those choices. The session was followed by a Mediterranean lunch, providing another wonderful opportunity for us to continue our conversation and strengthen our community bonds. I am so grateful to be a part of Capgemini and CodeYourFuture. I look forward to many more enriching collaborations like this. Thank you, Sarika, for spending your Saturday with us and for becoming a cherished member of the CodeYourFuture community! ❤️ ❤️ Bethan Richmond Sally Caughey Dr James Robey 🧑🏿 Germán Bencci Liliana Bermudes Alec McCrindle
