  • Our Brooklyn Brewery UK team have recently worked with Channel 4 on developing and publishing high quality branded editorial content, for a 3-part series, which sees talent Kojey Radical connect with Brooklyn Brewery’s very own Garrett Oliver.   • At CMBC, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce, free of discrimination and harassment. Kimberley Smith, Learning & Development Specialist, is responsible for leading and coordinating our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) programme. Kimberley started her career working in pubs and bars, progressing to management and training roles before eventually transitioning into Learning & Development. “I’ve always been motivated by helping people and it’s a privilege to have been able to apply what I learned on the front-line of hospitality to the corporate phase of my career” says Kimberley. Since assuming responsibility for the DEI agenda at CMBC, one of Kimberley’s proudest achievements was the development and delivery of a company-wide Respect & Inclusion training programme. “This was a huge undertaking last year with the goal of training every single employee at CMBC,” said Kimberley. “We tore up the playbook and rolled out a programme that was more conversational and reflective, rather than a typical training session.” Looking ahead, Kimberley is passionate about continuing to engage the whole organisation in the wider DEI agenda and she has exciting plans to introduce new employee-led networks and enhance networking and knowledge sharing opportunities with other organisations. “I love my job” says Kimberley. “DEI is such a rich and fulfilling area to work in and because there’s always more we could be doing, there’s never that sense of ‘job done’. Alcohol Awareness Week is a chance to reflect on our relationship with alcohol and ensure we're all having positive experiences with what we drink. Drinkaware's Drinking Check is a short, simple set of questions you can take to discover more about your drinking, and get tailored advice.   • CMBC is proud to have worked with Epochal Barrel Fermented Ales to set them up with a Burton Union system, using a set from our Marston’s Brewery in Burton 🍻 We’ve been working together for several months behind the scenes to set this up and are delighted to have supported Epochal to establish a new Union system at their brewery in Glasgow by gifting them a Union set, as well providing our expert advice and guidance throughout the process.   It’s another fantastic project from CMBC as we help to preserve this amazing part of the UK’s brewing heritage.   • CMBC are delighted to announce our new partnership with Aston Villa Football Club, as the Premier League club’s new Official Lager and Cider Partner.   CMBC will deliver a brilliant selection of brands from our diverse and exciting portfolio for supporters, including beers like Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, Birrificio Angelo Poretti, 1664 Bière and Brooklyn Pilsner, as well as our Somersby cider range.   Serving across all of Villa Park’s concourse and hospitality concessions from the start of the 2024/25 season, we will also be investing in the installation of new bars and facilities across the stadium, supporting the wider development of Villa Park to provide unforgettable matchday experiences for football fans.
