  • The CIPR is supporting PR Mums to bring together a pan-industry steering group to create a best-practice charter for parental leave policy. We're asking for a few minutes of your time to complete a vital survey, designed in partnership with Platform55, to provide a snapshot of where the PR industry stands today in relation to parenting policies and practice. The results will help us to define what best practice looks like, shape the charter and drive positive, meaningful and lasting change across the industry both now and in the future. With your input, we aim to tackle key issues such as promoting flexible working arrangements and creating more supportive environments for working parents in PR. Our goal is to establish industry-wide standards that ensure equal opportunities and foster a more inclusive culture. Take the survey: https://lnkd.in/ewGEbtC7 A huge thank you to all the organisations participating in the Steering Group including the PRCA, Women in PR, Grayling, Axicom, Manifest Group, Fine Lines, Hope&Glory PR, Full Fat Agency, and The Unmistakables

  • During last year’s Members' Week, we asked our community to tell us why they wouldn’t be without their CIPR membership. With just one week to go until #CIPRMembersWeek 2024 (15-21 July), let's take a look at what they told us. “Joining the CIPR is one of the best career decisions I have made! Not only does membership give me access to a wealth of training and professional development, it demonstrates that I meet rigorous criteria relating to professional standards, knowledge capability, and ethical practice.” Joe Nellist MCIPR “I have been a member of the CIPR since November 1996! It offers me fresh perspectives, constant opportunities for professional development, and great networking.” Andy West “Being a member of a professional institute helps me set a course for my career and gives me credibility with other professions and my peers. The CPD structure keeps me accountable to ongoing professional development and an ethical practice.” Josephine Graham “I've been a member and accredited for several years now and CIPR is always my 'go to' even when working across a number of different sectors. It's a vital network to our profession with lots of valuable info on developments, professional standards, choice of new events and lots of expertise.” Suzanne Downey “I've been a member since 2015 and would definitely attribute much of my development over the years to my membership. By consistently logging my CPD, I've kept on top of marketing and communications developments and have developed my skills and knowledge to a point where I feel confident leading a team and providing advice to senior leaders."
