Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting key stakeholders who played a crucial role in the development of our shredder. The day commenced with speeches delivered by Andreu Dorca (Head of Circularity CELSA UK), Carles Rovira (CEO CELSA UK) and Ken Poole MBE (Head of Economic Development Cardiff Council). They highlighted the advantages of the shredder and praised the remarkable efforts of everyone involved within the construction. Following the speeches, a tour of the shredder facility was conducted. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the event and supported the shredder project!

🌍🌱 CELSA UK is proud to announce that we have conducted our first double materiality assessment. This approach ensures we consider not only how our actions impact both people and the planet, but also how sustainability issues can affect our financial wellbeing. Why did we do this? It’s all about Mandatory Climate Disclosure – we’re committed to best practices and continuous improvement. This materiality assessment will help us refine and mature our understanding of the impact of climate-related risks and opportunities on our operations and business functions. The results of this assessment will be used to inform and develop CELSA UK’s Sustainability Roadmap, due out later this year. Key material topics included Circularity Processes; Greenhouse gas emissions and clean energy; Consumption of resources and management of waste and Occupational health & safety (OHS). We’re excited about the journey ahead and look forward to sharing our roadmap with you soon. Stay tuned! 🌿🌏 #Sustainability #Materiality #Steel

This week is dedicated to Mental Health Awareness, with a focus on movement as a way to improve our mental well-being. When life’s busy, it can be tricky finding time for wellbeing-boosting activities. But finding moments for movement might be easier than you think. Why not use the time you spend waiting to move more? When you’re waiting for the kettle to boil; for your kids to come out of school; or for a bus to arrive. Remember, your journey towards mental well-being is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. It's all about discovering what motivates you, both physically and mentally.
