"I believe that when customers thrive, we thrive. This philosophy is not just a business strategy; it's our core value and basic company culture habit."

Why did I decide to challenge the CDN giants? I believe in transparency and customer focus. I feel the urge to comment on this article that raises concerns about the sales practices of some large and mature CDN providers: https://lnkd.in/eK6JshH5 Twelve years ago, I was running a small regional server-hosting business, and some of our clients needed a global video delivery. None of the vendors offered a truly flexible and transparent option that I could recommend with a clear conscience. We launched CDN77.com with just a few people and own cash from the other businesses I ran. Everyone discouraged me. The market was dominated by large US players, some of which were not publicly traded yet but were heavily funded nonetheless. The question I kept hearing was, 'Why are you entering a market where you can't succeed?' My response was always: 'I don’t feel any of them treat the customer right.' It was practices like those mentioned in the article that made me start a CDN business back then. Things like non-transparent pricing, hidden and/or absurd fees, and multi-year commitments that forced customers to stay regardless of their satisfaction with the service sounded crazy to me. So I decided to create a company that values customers as partners, not just revenue sources. Until today, we’ve remained a privately owned company, which makes our happy customers our only investors, aligning their needs perfectly with the needs of the company. (And I can see that the market sentiment sometimes pushes publicly traded companies to steps that might not be very customer friendly, or sometimes, as in the case described in the article and numerous comments with similar customer experience, completely beyond my understanding). Our commitment to transparency, fairness, and customer satisfaction has been the main driver of our growth from nothing to $200M+ ARR this year, we are responsible for 30 000+ servers in more than 250 datacenters in all largest cities around planet (except China :). I believe that when customers thrive, we thrive. This philosophy is not just a business strategy; it's our core value and basic company culture habit. Check out this Slack exchange to see CDN77’s way of serving the customers.
