About us

Campaign is the UK’s first peer-to-peer LGBTQ business network for the recruitment industry. We’re opening the circle for LGBTQ recruitment professionals in what often feels like a closed space, by advising recruitment businesses on the ways they can make their workspace safe and inclusive for LGBTQ staff. By sharing ideas and inclusivity strategies, we improve LGBTQ representation for people working in recruitment and hope to promote a sense of togetherness. Campaign tackles 'the pink elephant in the office' with no awkwardness. We offer friendship, advice, and emotional support so LGBTQ recruitment professionals can bring their authentic self to work without fear. Campaign is not another pinkwash - it's run voluntarily by perfectly imperfect, committed, and caring people!     We are proud to share that we have been highly recommended in the category of 'Best Industry Group Inclusion Advocacy Initiative' for the Recruiter Investing in Talent Awards. Our founder, Derek Mackenzie, established the UK's first peer-to-peer LGBTQ+ business network for the recruitment industry last year. Our vision is to create safe and inclusive workspaces for LGBTQ+ staff. By sharing ideas and strategies to promote inclusivity, we aim to increase LGBTQ+ representation in the recruitment industry and foster a sense of togetherness. As we continue to make progress, we are excited to see what our events will bring in 2024…

    With Pride month coming to a close, we hope you have all enjoyed the celebrations. Our next Role Model as part of our series is Tyler Abrams, Senior Consultant, Commercial Medical Device at BioTalent.     ** NETWORK ** On the 27th June we welcome the Proud Science Alliance to our London Headquarters here at BioTalent and Race in STEM part of The IN Group Marine D. hosted and Jae Sloan perfectly facilitated a great panel of industry experts within the STEM space with James Kusena PhD, Sarah Cosgriff and Al Pacifico-France joining him There were many shocking discoveries, laughable moments and areas for learning and development   A few take aways: James: ..’people need to be the best version of themselves and try to create positive change’.. Sarah:..’How do you provide confidence and the skillsets to the generation coming up and create that safe space’.. Al:..’I’ve been told you must be the EDI professional based on your look; therefore with my psychology background work with companies to create transformational programs.   Thank you to everyone who attended and participated both internally and externally #EDI #DEI #education #pride

    Pride month celebrations started with a bang at Bruin with an amazing cultural day that brought everyone together to learn, share, and celebrate unique perspectives from LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies.     On Thursday, 6 June, we hosted a wonderful Cultural Day at our Bruin office in honour of Pride Month. 🌈✨ We're committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Celebrating Pride Month is just one of the many ways we show our dedication to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. During our Cultural Day, we came together to learn, share, and celebrate the unique perspectives and experiences of our LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies. From bagels and bingo, to workshops on being a positive ally, it was a day filled with joy, unity, and a strong sense of community.
