The Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network is 10!! We celebrated by unveiling our gorgeous community quilt which will grow to have a square for each of the 38 Repair Cafe organising groups in Cambridgeshire, and having a Network Forum to gather ideas and inform our strategy going forward. "I seem to have spent most of my life pushing against the tide, so it's wonderful to be part of what has become a real movement gathering it's own momentum" Chris M, founder of Cottenham Repair Cafe, one of the first in Cambridgeshire Thank you to Barbarella's (aka the Linton Kitchen) for the delicious cake, Pippa for the allotment flowers, all the repairers and Repair Cafe organisers who joined us to make it such a special day, our trustees (including Kirsten Newble and Shaun Lindsay) who supported us and Fiona Dear co-director of the Restart Project for showing how our local grassroots network fits into the wider campaign for the right to repair. All power to your elbow!
