Last week we had the pleasure of taking part in the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s first ever Work Experience Week (WEX) and what an amazing week it was! We hosted students from Leeds Beckett University and Brigshaw high school at our Railway Street project in Leeds. The week involved talks from industry experts and the students taking part in a tender project where they had to plan, design and price a road, whilst considering how they would work sustainably and interact with the community. The students had to present their tender to a panel of judges, and we are so proud to say our team ‘Evolution Solutions’ won! Massive congratulations to Danny Monaghan, Sanjie T. and Scott Wilkinson, you should be really proud of yourselves! 🏆👏🏻 Many thanks to the Caddick team who supported and mentored the students throughout the week - Debbie Watson, Graham Cottam, Andrew Silkstone, Barry Appleby and George Ramsey. And thank you to the team at Considerate Constructors Scheme for involving us, we can’t wait to do it again next year 🙌🏻 #loveconstruction #workexperience #togetherwework #careersinconstruction

As part of our redevelopment project at Stretford Mall our on-site team have spent time helping a local charity with renovations to their building. Founded in 2022, the Little Green Sock Project is a Stretford-based charity dedicated to supporting struggling local families with pre-loved items donated by the local community; from clothing, footwear and toys to equipment including prams, cots and high chairs. We are so proud of our team who worked tirelessly to transform the space from a derelict, unsecure building to a safe and welcoming space, allowing the charity to invite members of the community to their premises.
