BT M&B's annual 'summer' softball match is BACK🏏☔ Despite an extremely rainy day in London yesterday, we got the team together for a fun-filled afternoon with refreshments, pizzas and softball! 🍕 A few slips, slides and not so waterproof jackets, but all-in-all we rallied together and had a brilliant time 🙌 And of course, a massive congratulations to the winning team 🏆

How can the industry keep up with the insatiable demand for content without breaking the bank? 💸 At our Business Summit event in March, we explored how over the past few years several blockbuster events, such as SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket taking astronauts to the International Space Station for the first time or Ariana Grande’s headline set at the Coachella music festival, has rapidly increased appetite for live content - presenting a big challenge for broadcasters 📺 🚀   Benjamin Webster, BT M&B's Product Manager for Occasional Use services, chaired the session, along with a panel of expert hosts, to discuss the challenges they face alongside how with emerging technologies, producers of live content can learn to do more, with less. Following the success of the #Accelerators2023 challenge 'Connect & Produce Anywhere', this year's team, consisting of champions BBC, Channel 4, BT Media and Broadcast, Sky, European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Vodafone Group, TV 2 Danmark, participants Zixi, LAMA - Lean And Mean Audio, TSL , Techex, Norsk, Vizrt and associate sponsors AMD/HP, is now positioned to implement and road-test the solution on some real-world live event production scenarios where there are varying degrees of available #bandwidth.
