DIVE, our DE&I Network, hosted three ‘book club’ discussions with colleagues on Joy Burnford’s “Don’t Fix Women”. The book provides a route-map to improve gender equality in organisations, develop a truly diverse modern leadership culture, and reap the rewards that this brings. We had a high level of active and engaging participation from attendees, making each session dynamic and motivating. Some key takeaways include: • Addressing unconscious bias with the PACE (Passion, Accountability, Curiosity and Empathy) framework. • Building trust through feedback and delegation. • Embracing reverse mentoring. We are excited to drive positive change and embed the learnings from these sessions. For the DIVE founding committee, a key quote in the book stood out “In the sporting world, a coach wouldn't wait a whole year before providing feedback to an athlete following a race” which highlighted the importance of open communication and constant feedback with one another, to strengthen personal development.
