🦁⚽️ We are kicking off the week by announcing Norwich City Football Club is supporting Break again by sponsoring a sculpture in Gogosafari! After their legendary 'Ontheballasaurus' T-Rex scored big, we can't wait to see the creativity they'll bring to the field this time. New sponsors can still get involved, but spaces are limited. What pets do you have? Tell us in the comments. Break young person Zach's been giving this gorgeous cat, Emmet, lots of love and attention as a volunteer for a local animal sanctuary. We are proud of your hard work and kindness, Zach 💙 We are lucky that Break's children's homes have rabbits and fish, along with a few of the team bringing loving dogs in to visit too!

We've explained how we use the PACE approach at Break below, but if you would like to learn about this and much more, join us at Break's Trauma and Attachment training in November ▶▶▶ https://loom.ly/MLpTuCs 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄? It's an approach developed by Dan Hughes to support children by focusing on the whole child, not simply the behaviour. At Break, we use it to remind ourselves to communicate the four sections in the way we act, the things we say and the way we think while we care for children at Break. We aim to help young people feel safe and to help us all to regulate, reason and respond, especially when facing the trauma so many young people have sadly been through. #TraumaInformed #PACE #Therapeutic #ChildrensMentalHealth #ChildPsychology #ChildDevelopment

Break the stereotype 📣 “My care experience was lifesaving. My home situation was dire. My mother had schizophrenia; I had a stepfather who was very violent to my mother and to me. I wanted to be in care to get out of that situation." Care experienced Antiques Roadshow expert Ronnie Archer-Morgan shares his story through his love for his antiques in his memoir 'Would It Surprise You to Know?'. Ronnie has had a colourful career, such as DJing at the famous Marquee Club and hairdressing at a top Knightsbridge salon. However, he reportedly spent his lunch breaks scouring local shops and markets for antiques. Many of you will have enjoyed him on TV shows such as Antiques Roadshow. Ronnie is positive about his care in children's homes and foster care. We work hard every day to give young people in and leaving care the love, safety and opportunities to reach the potential we know they have.
