    We recently hosted our summer party to celebrate everyone's hard work (and the sun finally showing up). Our summer event is a moment to connect face-to-face for our team and it was wonderful to celebrate all together. Thank you for having us 100 Barrington! And an extra special thanks to our People Experience team and everyone on the event committee for creating a beautiful evening, full of sunshine, laughter and good vibes. We’re looking forward to our winter event already!

Each stem in The 100% Organic Flowers is lovingly grown and hand-harvested on the organic Pool Hullock Farm in Hereford without chemicals, pesticides, heated greenhouses, or air miles and certified organic by The Soil Association. Just like nature, each bunch is unique. Because we pick the stems that are looking their best in the field that week. And even better, when you send our 100% Organic Flowers to someone (or yourself!), we'll donate £1 to Rewilding Britain – helping rewilding flourish across the country. Because more nature is good for all of us.

    Friday afternoons off, anyone? Last year we trialed summer Fridays. And, as you'd expect, they were a big hit. And so they're back from today! Throughout July and August our team will finish their workday at 1pm on Friday. So they can spend more time with their family. Relax in front of the tv. Or simply just get their washing done so they can free up the weekend for fun things. However they want to spend it to recharge and do things that support their wellbeing, after a busy peak period 🌻 But our amazing operational teams will be enjoying summer hours at different times during the week.     June was Pride month. Want to know how we celebrated? With the help of our amazing customers, we raised over £2,800 for LGBT Foundation - one of our year round charity partners. Not only did The Joy bouquet donate, throughout June, to LGBT Foundation to directly support the charity’s helpline. But we’ve seen lots of you sending literal joy to your loved ones with these blooms. Team Bloom & Wild also pulled together to donate summer health packs to The Outside Project LGBTIQ+ Community Centre and Shelter - a charity local to Bloom & Wild HQ. The health packs will be donated for The Outside Project to distribute to their members and community to make sure they have the essentials they need to support them through the summer months.

    This #WorldEnvironmentDay we’re excited to share our support for Rewilding Britain's Innovation Fund. Our ongoing partnership with Rewilding Britain helps us deliver a core pillar of our sustainability strategy: making long-term positive change for our community and the world around us. The Innovation Fund offers seed funding to a variety of incredible projects across the country. And with your help, we’ve donated over £23,000 (so far), which will be put towards the Innovation Fund winners and their pioneering rewilding projects.     This week is British Flowers Week! We love flowers that make a big impact. But only on the people you send them to, not the planet. Spring and summer are our favourite seasons. With the good weather comes the best British flowers. This year we will have British peonies, gladioli, stocks, sunflowers, and more in our collection.     We believe in doing business thoughtfully. And so we’re changing the way we do opt-outs. We were the first company to give customers the chance to opt-out of emails about sensitive occasions (like Mother’s Day). And the response from our customers and the wider community was unexpectedly huge. It even got mentioned in a Parliamentary debate. And so we saw the enormous potential to make a positive impact by spreading the principles of opt-out more widely. Our Thoughtful Marketing Movement is now a community of hundreds of businesses. But more recently we’ve heard that, for some, the amount of opt-out emails received from brands can be overwhelming. We believe in always doing business with as much care as possible. So, in response to the feedback, we’ve made the decision to stop sending these emails ahead of sensitive occasions. We’ll still offer the option to mute communications for any sensitive occasions. But won’t be adding to the noise during certain times of year that some people already find tough. Instead, we’ll check in with our customers every now and then with reminders on how to update their marketing preferences – and be in control of what they want to hear from the brand about, and when. https://lnkd.in/gKr8WZT
