We are thrilled to announce Pauline Cannon as the new Regional Director for the Southwest. Originally from Scotland, Pauline has lived in Cornwall for 15 years, earning trust and respect in her community. Known for her warmth and passion, Pauline excels at connecting with people and building strong relationships. She has extensive experience in the financial sector, specializing in helping businesses secure financing for growth and sustainability. Her involvement with BITA and launching the Cornwall Chapter highlighted her dedication to strengthening the business community. As Regional Director, Pauline will continue to lead and build stronger business connections across the Southwest. On being appointed Pauline said "When I was approached to co-lead the launch of the Cornwall Chapter, I knew I'd enjoy it, but I didn’t realize how much! I love connecting people, and many of my connections have grown over time with strong foundations. My passion is people, and my values of passion, integrity, and delivery align perfectly with BITA. I wanted to support a business community that often felt isolated. BITA gave them a voice and a platform to engage throughout the UK and Ireland. As our Cornwall community grows stronger, it’s the perfect time to expand in the Southwest with the relaunch of the Bristol Chapter and the launch of the Devon Chapter in Plymouth. I'm excited to take on my new role as Regional Director for the Southwest." Please join us in welcoming Pauline to her new role! #BITA #BITASouthwest #RegionalDirector #NewRole #Welcometotheteam Paul Whitnell Pauline Cannon Eden Bray Megan Papworth Sarah-Louise McCartney MCIM Marcelle Micallef Philomena Whitnell James Horton James Rae Kayleigh O'Donovan Adam Wood Bridie Cunningham Ignatius (Natie) Rautenbach Oonagh Naughton

Great work from Michelle Ramejkis & Wild Thang Branded Clothing, Merchandise & Print Experts 🧢🖊👕 and a wonderful example of a BITA collaboration from our construction network lunch. These looked great at our BITA Golf Day sponsored by Chartsfield Construction Management #collaboration #wildthang #BITA
A couple of weeks ago, I was at #BITA Construction Lunch at #TheRoyalHorseGuardsHotel in London. I had the pleasure of sitting on a table with Andy Travis & @Stuart Donovan of Chartsfield Construction Management Ltd. They told me they needed some merchandising for a golf day they were holding the following week. I sent a message back to Wild Thang Branded Clothing, Merchandise & Print Experts 🧢🖊👕and the team got the ball rolling straight away. The items were proofed, agreed, signed off, paid for and delivered within 7 days. Chartsfield Construction Management Ltd sent me a lovely message telling me how pleased they were with the effort from the team. Well done to the team for continuing to deliver #worldclass service and doing it #TheWildThangWay #WildThang #BrandedMerchandise #BITALondon #BITALiverpool #Sustainability #TheWildThangWay #Worldclass

Happy National Bike to Work Day everyone! 🚴 Let's celebrate by ditching our cars and pedalling our way to work. Not only is cycling great for our health and the environment, but it's also a fun way to start the day. Here's our top three cycling safety tips: 1. Always wear a helmet: Protect your head by wearing a properly fitted helmet every time you ride. 2. Be visible: Wear bright or reflective clothing and use lights, especially when riding at dusk or dawn. 3. Follow traffic rules: Obey traffic signals, use hand signals to indicate turns, and ride in the same direction as traffic. Do you bike to work? Share your bike commuting tips in the comments below! #BikeToWork #HealthyCommute #CyclingLife #GreenCommute #safetyfirst

This is the exact moment I realised I’d built a really strong community: About ten years into BITA we hosted a big event in The Londoner, it was a gala ball and awards, a big production. And it was perfect. It’s hard to get perfect and repeat it but that’s what we always try to do. Imagine being surrounded by 400 people with the exact same values as you, all celebrating the same thing. Just an amazing feeling. At that point we also established we had raised £1 million over ten years for BITA. I’ll never forget that day and the people that made it happen. Here’s to BITA members, past and present, I’m thankful for you all.

Ahead of National Bike to Work Day, this Thursday, we are proud to share BITAx board member Riley Pond's amazing results from her incredible 100-mile bike ride. She raised money for Build It International, which has contributed to the completion of Mwachisompola School and the construction education needed to local men and women allowing them to work on the project. Well done, Riley! Hopefully, no one's commute is quite that long on National Bike to Work day! #businessnetworking #bita #bitax #youngprofessionals #justgiving
The 100-mile bike ride now feels like a distant memory! 🚲 I received an update from Build It International, thanks to everyone's generous donations, new classrooms and toilets have been built for the pupils and teachers at Mwachisompola Primary School 💙 The funds not only provided building materials but also gave the local men and women opportunities by teaching them construction skills, which they used to build these much-needed facilities. I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to every single person and company who donated- I have exceeded the amount of people I can tag😅 that just goes to show how many amazing people contributed🙌🏼 The Labour Desk Alex Herman Natasha Herman Daniel Ernstzen Ronnie Patel BE Offices Sabina J.
