This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was a celebration of Bentley. Across the weekend the new Continental GT had its Goodwood debut, showcasing its powerful performance on the track. With a time of 54.42 seconds the Continental GT Speed and its new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain set the record for the fastest production Bentley to take on the Goodwood Hill Climb. We also saw the return of the iconic Speed 8 from Le Mans 2003, and the global dynamic debut of Mulliner’s Speed Six Continuation Series based our most successful racing car ever, which completed eight separate runs of the famous Goodwood Hill Climb. What a weekend.

Judges at the PPA Awards called this partnership unique and exciting. Now into the second year of the partnership, Bentley, together with Dezeen, will continue to foster talent that is dedicated to making a beneficial impact within social and environmental sustainability, inclusivity and community empowerment.

Today Bentley celebrates a significant milestone in the construction of its new state-of-the-art Design Centre, with a topping out ceremony, marking the completion of the building's structural phase. This moment was marked by Bentley’s new Chairman and CEO, Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Andreas Lehe and Dr. Matthias Rabe, Board Members for Manufacturing and R&D respectively. Dr. Matthias Rabe said: “We are currently in the middle of a design revolution that will help define a new chapter for Bentley, as part of our Beyond100 transformational journey. Therefore building an innovative, creative environment for our designers to drive the development of future BEV models and more extraordinary products is key to our aim of becoming the world’s leading sustainable luxury mobility company.” The new Design Centre will be completed next year.

The Flying Spur is set to be reborn with the new performance-focused V8 hybrid engine.
