🌞 Last Friday, we had an incredible time at our staff family BBQ at Broadway Hall! The sun was shining, and everyone enjoyed delicious BBQ, pizza, bar, live band, magician and treats from the ice cream van. 🍔🍕🍦 The event was a hit with the kids, who had a blast with the bouncy castle, games, and a charity welly-wanging competition for The Valley Project. We collected a fantastic array of preloved wellies and raised £41, which will go towards purchasing brand-new boots! 👢💕 Here’s what some of our staff had to say: "We loved the atmosphere and how child-friendly it was. It was also nice to see work colleagues in a more casual setting and be able to chat to them." "It was lovely for everyone to get together, especially the children who all played lovely together." This Friday, a team of 37 collegues from Bartlett will be participating in our Peaks Challenge to raise money for Parkinson's UK and Dementia Forward. They have been training hard, in all weathers and all across the UK, and are ready tackle either the traditional Yorkshire Three Peaks or a specially designed Five Peaks route. Only 60% of those that participate complete this challenge! But they need your help to hit their fundraising target! 💡 How far can your donations can go? £5 funds a Dementia Forward helpline call, offering a lifeline of support. £28 helps Parkinson’s UK track physical activities, gaining insights into Parkinson's management. £45 supports a clinical researcher for 3 hours, advancing treatments. £75 allows for a weekly wellbeing cafe by Dementia Forward, fostering community support. £145 ensures Parkinson's UK helpline advisers are available for one crucial hour. £150 enables a community education session about dementia. 🎉 Every pound you donate will be matched by Bartlett, doubling the value of your generosity To support our fundraising efforts, we have a Just Giving page as well as an exciting raffle (links to donate in the comments). We are excited to share the latest event in our Bartlett guest speaker series! This week, we had the privilege of hosting local hero and rugby legend Jamie Peacock MBE. With a record turnout, both in person and online, Jamie delivered an inspiring "Champion Teams" talk. He shared his principles for excellence, focusing on the behaviors, habits, and mindsets essential for success, and highlighted the strong alignment between his principles and Bartlett's strategic pillars. Jamie emphasised the importance of going the extra mile and shared his vision of high-performing teams, stressing shared accountability, collaboration, and resilience. The Bartlett Team not only enjoyed Jamie’s motivational talk but also quizzed him in a lively Q&A and then took part in an impromptu gym session, where he gave some training tips in preparation for this year’s Corporate Challenge. 🥦 Top Tip: Raw broccoli is the breakfast of champions...!
