⬇ Stay tuned as Brazil's hydrogen law heats up—will Congress align with EU standards or forge its own path? Register now and find out: https://lnkd.in/dmcWT7FZ
TODAY in #Brazilian Congress: #hydrogen law will be discussed, after approval by Senate 3 weeks ago… Moving fast now, uhm???? 🍿 Let’s start with the SPICY details of the NOVELA: Senate increased the lifecycle emissions threshold from 4 to 7 kCO2eq/kgH2... Will Congress play along or fight back to the 4 previously set, and more in line with EU’s standards? 🍿 Join our #webinar and find out more: https://lnkd.in/dPmkySnT! Despite different regulatory frameworks, #Brazil has opportunity routes to explore as a main exporter to Europe while ensuring renewable hydrogen certification…: ➡️ Brazil #renewable resources are immense. Connecting #electrolyzers directly to renewables will look better than in other places, but there’s more. Everyone hates #curtailment, right? Yes, unless you can turn wasted energy into renewable hydrogen compatible with EU standards. Genius Rodrigo has done the maths… stay tuned for his post! ➡️ Oh… and with a grid fuelled by hydro, solar and wind (unmatched worldwide!), we can already smell a “>90% renewables” share. Brazil’s grid-connected production could be a goldmine – expert Emma Keisser will spill the beans on how Brazil could comply with EU standards. ➡️ Still grid-related… The Northeast is not only magical because of Bahia and its Carnival, but also for wind and solar and consequently its inherently LOW carbon intensity grid. Priscila Vellano knows our clients are interested… so she might have a surprise post too. This is just a trailer – there’s more action!!! 📯 Brazilian hydrogen law under discussion in congress - join our webinar to learn more! Yesterday, the Brazilian Congress engaged in a crucial debate about the future of hydrogen in Brazil. While the law is still under discussion, there are compelling arguments that Brazil’s clean power system could position the country as a significant #European #hydrogen #exporter. 🌱 Brazil’s #renewable energy dominance: A game-changer Brazil boasts one of the world’s highest shares of renewable energy in its electricity mix. The northeastern region already sources over 90% of its power from renewables on a yearly average, and other regions are set to follow suit in the near future. This abundance of clean energy sets the stage for Brazil to play a pivotal role in the global hydrogen market. 🏅 Why is this a #strategic #advantage: Here’s where it gets interesting! Electrolysers—those magical machines that split water into hydrogen and oxygen—can thrive in Brazil by strategically locating them in bidding zones where the average renewable energy share exceeds 90%. This is because under the EU RED II laws, these electrolysers can be exempted from several requirements and produce compliant "#renewable #hydrogen" under a multitude of business models! This unlocks several advantages that we will detail in be webinar! 📈 Reducing #curtailment, boosting compliance: Brazil’s high renewable share also brings a silver lining - curtailment. When excess renewable energy is curtailed, it’s a win-win for electrolysers. Why? Rodrigo will delve into how Brazilian electrolysers can capitalise on this! 🔔 Curious to learn more?
