Join us for an insightful LinkedIn Live event featuring Sue Kershaw, Mark Sorrell, and Lisa Street as they delve into the strategic value of project and programme management. During the session, they will discuss #TheGoldenThread research which highlights the significant importance and value of project and #programmemanagement, evidenced by its substantial contribution to Gross Value Added (GVA) and the creation of numerous Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) jobs. However, business leaders and those outside the profession often hold misconceptions about its importance. This disconnect results in challenges for projects and programme managers. It is crucial for business leaders to have an accurate perception of project management, recognising its role in driving strategic success and business transformation. A realistic and positive image of the profession not only aids in attracting and retaining talent but also supports the broader objectives of diversity within the workforce. Don't miss out on being a part of the conversation and join our LinkedIn Live on 2 July at noon BST. #ProjectManagement

  • The results are in! Although APM is a politically neutral organisation, we’re committed to providing leadership of the profession, working collaboratively and to raising standards in the project profession. We therefore look forward to engaging with the new UK Government, to help them plan and deliver projects in line with established good practice, so that more projects succeed for the benefit of society. Project professionals are central to driving economic growth, fiscal stability and delivering the new Government’s manifesto commitments. To deliver those commitments, the Government must: ● Respond to the uncertainty that is plaguing project delivery ● Reinvent attitudes to projects by focusing on the huge benefit they bring to society in the long run. ● Reform the approach to how projects are delivered by joining up thinking across government. Our asks for the new UK Government – respond, reinvent, reform – are explained in more detail in our manifesto, which can be viewed here. https://bit.ly/3zmypDt #ProjectManagement
