InterMoor is proud to have completed the 12 mooring piles for the Salamanca floating production unit (FPU) located in the Gulf of Mexico and operated by LLOG Exploration Co. At 16’OD x 80’ long, the piles weigh at 171 S tons each. Over 2,000 tons of steel! InterMoor provided the design of the piles from their engineering office in Houston, as well as the steel procurement and fabrication of the piles at their Morgan City, Louisiana facility. The teams coordinated with D3 Engineering Solutions on the project. Carrie Adams, General Manager, InterMoor Inc., says: “InterMoor is proud to partner with LLOG on the design, fabrication and loadout of the Salamanca mooring piles. The coordination between our engineering and fabrication teams ensured a seamless process, accelerated timelines and support to complete the project safely and on budget.
