“I had the pleasure of working with Hem on the DREAMS program in Uganda, where he led Mercy Corps' team on an innovative partnership of market systems development with poverty graduation for refugees. This was a novel partnership, and Hem did a great job of collaborating closely with Mercy Corps' partner (Village Enterprise) to identify, understand, and pivot to address the operational challenges which emerged. Those well-informed adaptations have set the course for DREAMS to succeed in Uganda, and have laid the foundations for successful collaborations in other contexts and countries!”
