Jennifer Lawrence Cast in Murder Mystery 'The Wives'

Jennifer Lawrence is bringing big Real Housewives energy to her next role.

The actress has been tapped to lead the murder mystery The Wives which, according to Variety, is in the vein of Bravo’s hit reality TV franchise.

The film is being written by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, whose “Circle Jerk” play was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, while Apple Studios and A24 serve as co-producers on the project.

In addition to acting, Lawrence will executive-produce along with Justine Ciarrocchi (No Hard Feelings). Jeremy O. Harris (Zola, Euphoria) and Josh Godfrey (Suspiria, Manchester by the Sea) also produce.

* Waiting to Exhale’s Lela Rochon and Loretta Devine will reunite for the Lifetime movie Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love, starring Garcelle Beauvais and premiering Saturday, Aug. 17 at 8/7c. Vaughn W. Hebron (The Game reboot, Tyler Perry’s The Oval) and Donna Biscoe (Greenleaf, Saints and Sinners) complete the ensemble.

* Sam Neill will star opposite Eric Bana in the Netflix limited series Untamed, according to Deadline. The story follows Kyle Turner (played by Bana), a special agent for the National Parks Service whose investigation of a brutal murder uncovers dark secrets about the park and his past.  

Neill will portray Paul Souter, a chief park ranger at Yosemite and friend to Turner who’s attuned to all the different facets of his job.  

* Additionally, Rosemarie DeWitt has joined the Untamed ensemble as Turner’s ex-wife Jill Bodwin, per Deadline. The former teacher and park counselor remarried and maintains a strong bond with her ex because of past events, according to the character description.
