April 15, 1984

A new route to replace the 103 SPADINA NORTH bus and a portion of the 18 CALEDONIA route. Buses operate north from Spadina Station via Spadina, west on Davenport to just west of Caledonia, looping north on Wiltshire, west on Connolly and south on Laughton, then returning east on Davenport, south on Kendal, east on MacPherson and south on Spadina. The route provides new service to a section of Davenport Road between Spadina Road and Christie Street. Initial service is every 12 minutes at rush hours, and every 18 minutes at other times. Buses operate out of Davenport Garage.

January 3, 1993

Davenport Garage closes and service on this route is reassigned to Lansdowne Garage.

February 13, 1994

Extended west to replace a portion of the 41 KEELE route, which had been rerouted to Keele station. 127 Davenport buses run beyond Caledonia via west on Davenport and Old Weston Road to Townsley Loop, just north of St. Clair. Service around the Wiltshire, Connolly and Laughton loop is discontinued.

February 18, 1996

Due to reduced government subsidies, services are reduced system-wide, including the elimination of Monday through Friday late evening service after 10:00 p.m., Saturday evening service after 7:00 p.m., and all service on Sundays and Holidays on this route.

Around the same time, due to the closing of Lansdowne Garage, operations of this route have been transferred to Eglinton Garage on Yonge and Eglinton.

February 17, 2002

Service reduced during the afternoon peak period from every 16 min to every 25 min.

March 31, 2002

With the closing of old Eglinton garage and the new facility opened on Comstock Road, buses on this route were transferred to Wilson Garage.

May 12, 2002

5:45 a.m. Monday-Friday first westbound departure from Spadina Station discontinued, along with the 10:00 p.m. Monday-Friday last eastbound departure.

November 24, 2002

Operations transferred from Wilson Garage to the New Eglinton (Comstock) Garage.

February 16, 2003

Service reduced during the morning peak period from every 16 minutes to every 25 minutes.

September 7, 2004

Service reduced during the midday and early evening from Monday to Friday, and during the daytime on Saturday, from every 22 minutes to every 44 minutes, from every 20 minutes to every 40 minutes and from every 22 minutes to every 45 minutes respectively.

June 20, 2005

Accessible service starts on the route using Orion VII buses.

September 5, 2006

As of this date, service operates at 25 minute intervals during the morning rush hours and 20 minute intervals during the afternoon rush hours. Service operates at 44 minute intervals during midday weekdays and every 40 minutes during the evenings until 9:40 p.m. Saturday service operates at 45 minute intervals until 6:45 p.m.

November 23, 2008

As part of the TTC’s Ridership Growth Strategy, service on 127 DAVENPORT is increased, so it operates at all times that the subway is open, at intervals of 30 minutes or better. Also on this day, this route is transferred to the newly opened [Mount Dennis Garage].

As part of a general reallocation of resources, Sunday and holiday service after 10 p.m. eliminated.

November 22, 2015

Late evening Sunday and holiday service restored. Buses operate at intervals of 30 minutes or better, whenever the subway is open.

March 28, 2021

Coinciding with the opening of McNicoll Garage, route is switched from Mount Dennis Garage to Queensway Garage.
