Normal life was affected in several parts of the state including Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mandya due to the Karnataka bandh called by the pro-Kannada and farmers' organisations on Friday. Over 40 flights to and from Bengaluru airport were cancelled.

Karnataka Bandh in Mandya is nearly total as activists attached to various organisations protested in the heart of the town blocking the main road by forming a human chain. They also condemned a few MPs holding their posters during the protest.
