Lok Sabha MPs have more crorepatis than ever and they’ve shown robust growth in financial assets despite the Indian economy not enjoying as good fortunes

The number of individuals filing tax returns with an income that’s over Rs 1 cr has been rising. It turns out that’s true about representatives elected to India’s lower house of Parliament as well.
For the first time in the history of independent India, the number of Lok Sabha legislators with financial assets worth over Rs 1 cr is over 500. Just 7% of the nation’s recently elected lawmakers have assets worth less than Rs 1 cr.
