Saqib Saleem calls Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal's wedding 'Ghar ki shaadi’

In an interview with Hindustan Times, actor Saqib Saleem, who is close friend of the couple, shared his thoughts on their wedding, saying it felt like a "ghar ki shaadi" (a family wedding).He noted that the couple had been a part of his life for the past six to seven years, making the wedding feel like a natural extension of their friendship. Saleem emphasized that the couple's happiness was palpable, and everyone wanted to be a part of their special day.
“Sona and Zaheer have been a part of my life for the last six to seven years now. So, when you spent the most important years of your life with people like them, andar se woh ek awaaz aati hai. It doesn’t feel like you’re doing something [special for them]. It just felt like ki ghar ki shaadi ho rahi thi,” Saleem said
Saqib Saleem also explained that Sonakshi and Zaheer's relationship was never hidden, as their friends were simply protective of their privacy. He noted that in real life, people are often too busy to interfere in others' personal matters, and those close to the couple were only happy for them.
The wedding celebrations began with a registered wedding ceremony, followed by a grand reception attended by several Bollywood celebrities. The couple's wedding was marked by a sense of intimacy and joy, with close friends and family playing significant roles in the festivities.
Saqib Saleem is currently working on several projects, including the upcoming horror-comedy film Kakuda, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Riteish Deshmukh. The film, set for an OTT release on July 12, promises a fresh take on the supernatural theme, leveraging the chemistry and camaraderie between the two actors.
